B. B. King (for Blues Boy), his real name Riley B. King , born September 16, 1925 in Itta Bena, Mississippi, United States, and died on May 14 2015 in Las Vegas, was a guitarist, songwriter and singer of American blues. He is considered one of the best blues musicians, and has had a considerable influence on many guitarists.

He is, along with Albert King and Freddie King, one of the three 'kings' of the blues guitar.

Riley B. King was born on September 16, 1925 in a cotton plantation between Itta Bena >>> and Indianola>, he is the son of Albert Lee King and Nora Ella King>, a couple of sharecroppers . He is four years old when his mother leaves his father. The boy will be raised by his maternal grandmother, Elnora Farr, in Kilmichael.

Thrill Is Gone Backing Track

Riley King sings in the gospel choir of the Elkhorn Baptist Church in Kilmichael. He would have bought his first guitar at the age of 12 years , other sources indicate that the guitarist Bukka White, cousin of his mother>, gave him his first guitar >. In 1943, King left Kilmichael to work as a tractor driver and play guitar with the Famous St. John's Quartet in Inverness, Mississippi, in churches and local radio stations.
